Element 2011 Changes

2011 Element will be the ultimate model in Honda Element line-up – a boxy cross-over, which has seen a steep decline in sales.

So Honda has decided to stop this version to give way to next generation CUVs. Let’s take a look at Honda Element 2011 changes and upgrades.

Mechanical Changes and Features

honda element 2011 changes at a glance

There are no significant changes, as its engine remains the same with a displacement of 2.4 ltr giving an output of 166 HP and 166 ft-pounds, coupled to the manual 5-speed transmission, all-wheel drive, and standard traction control. It also has front wheel drive and gives an EPA of 20 in city and 25 on the highways.

The 2011 series doesn’t come with the navigation system anymore, which was previously part of the standard package. And, same is the case with the rear back-up camera and i-pod connectivity.

There is an addition of mobile phone connectivity. Power front windows, spacious cargo and passenger room, and water resistant seats are the highlights of 2011 Elements, but sun-roof is not to be seen this year either.

Design Changes

The sporty SC models have been stopped, but the cargo-volume of the new Element is very impressive. All other features are unchanged, except the wheels.

EX and LX models of Element are visually similar; both have tires of same size as well.

Bottom Line

Looking at the Honda Element 2011 changes, some of the gaps have been filled, but there are no significant visual changes, and it looks similar to its predecessor, and many of the standard goodies have been chucked off for 2011.
